NEW Software Update - 5/11/2010

SWRemote Mobile Technician Version 1.0.1.48 - Released  5/11/2010

SWRemote is releasing this version (1.0.1.48) on the evening of Tuesday 5/11/2010.  If you are a member of the Beta group, you have already received the update

New Features in version 1.0.1.48:

  • Parts Used Quantity - Technicians may now enter a decimal value for the quantity of detail items.
  • Device, Printer & Scanner Setup - There is a new section in the Settings screen that will allow a technician to set up their equipment for the device. ** Note ** Once moved to this new version, the first time after a successful login, each device will need to setup and equipment they may be using.
  • Touch Pro 2 - Application has been adjusted to display properly on the Touch Pro 2's higher screen resolution.
  • Camera - Motorola devices can now use the camera while within the application, except on screens where you would need to scan.
  • Work Done & Suggested - Jobs on the Service History screen will now be selectable. They will open in a new panel displaying all of the work done and work suggested notes. Previously, some text was being cut off by the application.
  • Installation - Software can be updated on a device basis, not just an entire company, and future releases will NOT require uninstall/reinstall, but rather a faster, streamlined update process.

Bug Fixes: 

  • Price book Download - A problem that caused some price book items/tasks to duplicate or not show up on the device has been fixed.
  • Tax Calculation - Adjustments have been made to offline invoice tax calculations to match SuccessWare21 tax calculations. This needed to be implemented for items that already have had tax included.
  • NoCharge - The calculation of a NoCharge on the job summary has been corrected. Previously the software could fail at the close job screen if we were calculating this incorrectly.
  • Warranty Grid - An issue with warranties showing up from a previous location under certain conditions has been fixed.
  • Time Zone Adjustments - Calls will be received based on the time of the device, not our server.
  • Requisition Error - Resolved a problem that occurred when a company has no trucks set up in SuccessWare21.
  • Internal GPS - We have corrected problems that occurred as a result of a device's internal GPS.
  • On Site Time - The estimated on site time will initially default to the time length of the job in SuccessWare21, it may then be changed.
  • Agreement Bug - Resolved the issue of saving agreements that had non-numeric text within the agreement number.
  • Previous Balance & Deposits - As issue that caused data to load differently in the two payment screens has been resolved.

Known Issues:

 

  • Touch Pro 2 & Opticon Scanner - connection issue. It looks like the phone and the Opticon Scanner lose connectivity with each other.
    • Current Resolution: un-pair the scanner, delete the connection, and reconnect the scanner
  • Touch Pro / Touch Pro 2 & PP55 - There is an error message that periodically gets displayed when printing with the PP55. Once the error is cleared, the application is still running, and the print will succeed.
  • Parts/Used Review Screen - Although we now allow decimal values one this screen, the review screen is only displaying the whole value. This will be fixed in our next release.
