Enrollment, Setup, and Installation > SWAPI Setup > SuccessWare21 Agent Manager SuccessWare21 Agent ManagerSWRemote is a third party agent that accesses your SuccessWare21 database. Use the SuccessWare21 Agent Manager to enable/disable SWRemote's ability to access your data. Before you can enable an SWRemote in the Agent Manager, you need to register the SWRemote Agent (swmagent) from your SWRemote Online Account. This is usually done during the signup process of SWRemote. The Agent Manager controls access to the SuccessWare21® database by third party agents. To open the Agent Manager, you must have administrative rights within SuccessWare21®. Select from the main menu: “Setup | Utilities | Administrative Tools | Agent Manager”. Third party agents cannot access the SuccessWare21® databases until a SuccessWare21® user, having administrative ability, expressly enables the individual agent access via the Agent Manager. Granting Access to Your DataIn order for SWRemote to have access to your data, you must give it the permission using this agent manager. To do this, open the agent manager and find the agent you're looking for (in this case swmagent). Double click on the password field and type in the password you would like to use for SWRemote. This password is set by you and can be anything you like.Under the list of agents are the companies you have defined in your installation of Successware21. In order for this agent to have access to any of these companies, you must enable them. So for each company you'd like to have access to this data, double click on the "Enabled" box. This will toggle the enabled property back and forth between true and false. Only companies with this field listed as "True" will be accessible from SWRemote. |
