Timecard Remote Control Lock

When a user logs on remotely, a lock is placed on their timecard. This lock will prevent inadvertent changes to the employee's timecard in SW21 while the timecard is under remote control. This is important because if dispatchers make changes to an employee’s timecard while the employee is controlling the timecard remotely from the field, this can cause the remote application to become out-of-sync with the SuccessWare21 timecard. This can lead to errors when attempting to modify the timecard remotely.

Manual changes to an employee’s timecard can be made with care by removing the lock before making the change. The lock can be removed by unchecking the ‘remote control’ checkbox on the employee’s timecard in SuccessWare21. Be sure to replace the lock when you are done. While the lock is disabled, changes to the timecard are not allowed remotely.

NOTE: The timecard remote control feature is only visible if SuccessWare21 has been activated for third party API access.
