Printer Is Not Working Properly Cannot Connect to Remote Server How To: Set up Tutorial Company Device Deactivation Vs. Billing Hold |
Cannot Connect to Remote ServerWhenever you get this message, this means that the device cannot currently connect to the SWAPI service. When this is the case, your SWRemote device will not be able to make any requests to SuccessWare21 using SWAPI. Solution If you are running SuccessWare21 locally(LAN), and are not on the ASP, you need to get on your local server where SuccessWare21 is running from. Login to SuccessWare21. In SuccessWare21, navigate as follows: Setup -> Utilitites (this will prompt you to close all forms within SuccessWare21 to enter) -> Administrative Tools -> Http Service Administrator. If your service is running correctly, you should see the following:
If you don't see the 'Stop' and 'Test' buttons, hit start to try and start your service. The start button should be located in the upper right hand corner of the administrator. This should start your service. If you see that is says your service is running, yet you cannot connect to your remote server, hit the test button and see if this is successful. When testing, note the IP address and verfiy this is the same IP address that is set up on the admin site for your customer. To verify this, browse to http://admin.swremote.com . Login to the site and go to your account information. Verify the API URL is the same as the information you received in the test.
